As most of you are aware, our mixed Bowling Arm Triples was held on 19th June.   It was a great success except for the weather which only allowed us one full game instead of two.   However, all visitors assured us that they will be back next year and we will perhaps be changing the date.  The Team from Frankston, Victoria, Ann Powell, John Cogdell and Bod Ormesher  won the event, runners up were Dave Mitchell, Hilda Schmidt and Gail Karren (Urangan) and the first game winner was Herb Smith, Rod Davey and Gloria Browning The Kitchen ladies put on a beautiful launch of Hot Soup and Toasted sandwiches which was a real winner on the day. If you would like to see a write up and pictures of the tournament, please go to Armed Bowlers Austraiia website and you’ll all the details there.   My thanks too Pam Bryant, Editor of the Armed Bowlers Australia Magazine, for her advice.  encouragement and help in fine tuning this event and for her article on the Australian Website.     Our thanks to Leigh Hewish of the Urangan club for bringing up two more players to help us fill a couple of spots.  This was much appreciated.  The Urangan Club is holding a Bowling Arm Pairs on the 15th August,  If anyone is interested in going please contact Leigh Hewish
