May 2020 Roll-Ups Newsletter.

Welcome to the Bundaberg Bowls Club Inc. May Newsletter.I hope you are all well and looking forward to Stage 1 Roll-Ups. A meeting was held at the Bundaberg Bowls Club earlier this week with representatives from the Bargara Bowls Club to work out a system to get things up and running for both Clubs.

Roll-Ups will commence next Tuesday 19 May at the Bundaberg Bowls Club.

Bundaberg Bowls Club will organize the Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday Roll Ups and the Bargara Bowls Club will organize the Wednesday, Friday and Sunday Roll Ups.

The play periods will be – 9.00 to 10.30; 11.00 to 12.30; 1.00 to 2.30; that is 3 periods each day.

When restrictions are lifted further in the future we will alter these periods and numbers accordingly.

A bowler will only be permitted to play one session a day. This will enable other members to enjoy a Roll Up as well. A second Roll Up may be possible if there are not 20 bowlers booked for that time. You must have a booking to play but no continuous block bookings will be permitted.

Green Fees will be $5.00 a player per session to help cover the costs of preparing the Greens etc.

Game nominations will be by phone between 8.00a.m. and 10.00a.m. each day from now. Phone John Clough on 0419643079.

Entry/Exit will be via the West Gate.

Each session will be on a first in basis so have a second and third choice session in mind.

Bowlers these conditions may seem harsh but lets be fair to all bowlers. We are all waiting to get back into bowls and mixing with friends in our beautiful surrounds. Also if you are not feeling well before your nominated session let John know early so he can fill your place with a stand-by bowler. Dress Code is Mufti or otherwise.

Bring your own drinks – No Alcohol! The Cold Water Fountains will be turned off and out-of-bounds.

Ladies Toilets will be open by the Patio Entrance; Mens Toilets will be open by the Westside Door.

As soon as your time is up you must leave the premises, no sitting around and no congregating in the Carpark afterwards. The next group will be arriving and Club members will be cleaning and sanitizing toilets, basins and jacks for the next session. We will not be using Mats or playing games; it is just Roll Ups.

See you on the Greens! Regards.

John Clough (President) Marcia Nicol (President)

P.S. If you are able to volunteer your time at any time during the Roll Ups let John know in advance.
