Bowls Notes 18th November

Competition results from Tuesday 15th November: Patroness Triples Final: Gaye Roberts, Kay Ole and Lyn Scougall defeated Margaret Petersen, Hilda Schmidt and Shirley Sparke. Congratulations to all in reaching the final and what a close final it was, it all came down to the last end.

Social results from 18th November: M. Petersen, G. Browning and S.Sparke drew with D Dolan, H.Schmidt and D. Francis, S. Angove, E. Penney and J.Carter defeated G. Roberts, K. Ole and J Burmeister, S. Gastaldon, L.Scougall and B. Elworthy defeated J. Wilkie, J. Barrett and L. Lathouras.

It was a pleasure to see the Maroon and Gold out in force that day and also welcome to June Wilkie and Elsa Penney {new members to our club} and to Jim Carter for being brave enough to join the ladies.

There will be no more competition for this year, thanks to all who entered in these games and I hope that 2017 will see a good year of competitive bowling within our club. Don't forget Ladies that our Annual Fees are due by December 31st 2016. These fees may be paid at the Club next Friday or can be paid on line if you prefer. Friday 25th will be our last playing day for the year. A few surprises will be on the agenda along with money trophies and it would be wonderful to see as many of our ladies as possible playing on that day.

December 2nd is our Break up and Christmas Lunch. We will be starting at 10.30 a.m. with Presentation of Trophies for our Championship games and in-house games for 2016. Please wear your uniforms for this day. The ladies are also asked to bring along a small salad which makes it easier for our Kitchen ladies to have a relaxing day as well. Elaine, Shirley and Doreen - our thanks to you for all the great work you have done in the kitchen throughout the years, for the shopping in your free time, and cooking in your own homes so that we may have a lovely afternoon tea or Lunch.
