President and Patroness Day was held on Friday 3rd June. Although the weather was dull and showery, a great day was held by all who attended. President Carol and Patroness Beris wish to thank all members who worked so hard to make their day such a success. A special thanks to Elaine Hopton, Shirley Sparke and their helpers for the delicious afternoon tea - all home cooked. You girls are a hard act to follow. Three Life Members Joan Green, Ann Barnard and Shirley Heidke along with Joyce Binder, Hon Secretary of BDBA/Ladies , Jill Dunn, Jean Pershouse, Doris Munro and Pam Maitland joined us for afternoon tea. It was such a pleasure having these “Golden Oldies” help Carol and Beris celebrate their special day. Patroness Beris, who has been Patroness for 23 years also addressed the ladies and thanked them for their attendance. The Lucky winners for the Visiting teams was the Past Presidents Team of D. Davidson, M. Nicol, P.Rush and Z. Watson and for our Home Team the winners were M. Peterson, J. Nikora. L. Lathouras and J. Burmeister.

The format has been changed to 2 games of 15 ends Greg Mallett has kindly taken on the position of umpire for the day.

Due to unforeseen circumstances I was unable to put up competition for Friday 10th June. I apologise for this. However we will be having a social day so come along and enjoy a fun day. I will think of something different to surprise you all. A Prize is guaranteed.
